Volunteers are needed for the upcoming household and business Clean Sweep program that is taking place at the Town of Menasha Fire Station located at 1000 Valley Road on April 25 and 26. This event services the residents and businesses of the City of Appleton, City of Menasha, City of Neenah, Town of Menasha, Town of Harrison, and Town of Buchanan. Volunteers are typically adults who can help with a brief participant survey, or who are capable of lifting bulky materials out of peoples' vehicles. Past volunteers have been local staff, elected officials, and citizens, and everyone seems to enjoy the experience and learn something useful from it. Due to potential liabilities, we are unable to accept youth volunteers.
Nine volunteers are needed per day. The Friday Clean Sweep will run from 2 pm to 6 pm and Saturday it will run from 9 am to noon. There is mandatory half hour training prior to the start time. Please contact Mary Kohrell if you are interested in volunteering.
